First Log and Halloweek
In the real world I'm working on a Coloring Book for a Non-Profit.
I also run, "Books as Treats." Books as Treats is ideally as self explanatory as the Moves I write. On Halloween I give away (wait for it) Books...as Treats! That is instead of candy, kids get a book. I give away about 500 books on Halloween. It's the sort of Big/Small thing, a Big/Small Town like Aurora can pull off.
I feel like Opening Day should include me buying a Blue Shirt and yelling at you like Billy Mays, but I honestly don't have the time!
For my first post what I want to say is, these games existed in the real world before they existed on the internet. Call it backwards, but "Brick and Mortar First, Digital Second" is right for me. Having played these games with the A-Club (The Aurora RPG Club) and having sold them as Zines in Aurora and Chicago, I've been able to get real world input and pivot as needed. Multiple "Nano-Prints" help produce a better Digital Product. Ultimately I'm new to Digital Publishing and there could be mistakes.
If you spot something, say something!
If I'm at desk,I might be able to fix it immediately and digitally send you a correction the same day. (Except this week- see above.)
On Sunday I had 31 followers which is a great way to start HalloWEEK, but I need more followers! It's practical math and algorithms. I have a Discord page with 3 members. It's like an Echo Chamber, which is fine. If you have mechanical questions, that's a great place to ask them.
Word of Mouth always helps!
I don't expect this game to replace Maps and Mini's, Dungeon Crawls, and Bug Hunts, but as a suburb of Chicago, I see a lot of One Session Tables. I really think the core rules can be reskinned to run Dungeon Crawls and Bug Hunts.
I think the Three Hour Funnel makes you ask, "Will I make it? It's going to be close, I won't know until the Final Roll."
I'm hoping people that bounce off One Session Gaming reconsider what's possible and what's entertaining.
FINALLY, I'm hoping Chicago loves a game about Chicago.
