Why Write The Brochure Games?

"It's like Radio."

The Aurora RPG Club is a Walk-In Club.
Adults are busy and their schedules are always changing.
We are perpetually losing people, and the Club recognizes we need to always actively recruit new members.

I wanted to create advertising that told people in the community that the Club exists, but I didn't want to pay for that advertising out of pocket...
Radio imagines a listener finding a music genre that they enjoy, and sitting through the commercials until the songs start again.
Radio "sells" Commercials and gives away the songs for "free."

The idea with The Brochure Games was to emulate Radio.
A gamer would buy a game.
The game would include advertising for the Aurora RPG Club.
From the view point of the Publisher (Me), he gamer would pay for the advertising and get a game for "free."

It worked!
Even when people didn't buy the games, they picked them up, saw the back cover, learned the Club existed, and looked at the QR Code for the Club.
Just like a Billboard on the highway, simply existing by being on a shelf in a book store engaged people and recruited new members to the Walk-In Club!

There are three Brochure Games, I'll drop one a week leading up to the release of White City.
